Thank you again Sandy and John for a wonderful time over Memorial weekend. We have been coming here for many years and realized last night, during dinner with friends, that we have never written a review. You and John have always been such wonderful hosts and very pet friendly!! We love the setting on the creek, the great views and the fishing. Your cottages are charming and the grounds perfect for the kids to run around. We have yet to take up the offer to use your kayaks, but intend to do that next month when our dinner guests join us. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day weekend visit to J&S Reeve Summer Cottages. It was purely by accident that we found this little hidden gem and we are so glad we did. Not only were the owners wonderful to rent from, they were attentive to our needs and accommodated us in every single way possible. Both Sandy and John, the owners, went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The cottages were super clean, charming, and a pure delight to stay in. The cottages were fully equipped with every little item needed for your stay. The grounds were meticulously landscaped and maintained and had beautiful flowers all throughout the property. We still don't know how John and Sandy manage to maintain all of this but they do it very well! We LOVED being able to use the kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes, all part of our rental price. Everything for a fun afternoon was included from the different types of equipment to the different sized life jackets. There were multiple hammocks, tables and chairs, lounge chairs, picnic tables, and everything you could possibly need to experience the peacefulness of the cottages which were directly on the bay as well as the surrounding area. The sunrise in the mornings watching the swans on the bay were a memory we will treasure. Thank you, Sandy and John, for a wonderful visit to your cottages. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
We really enjoyed our stay at J&S Reeves cottages this August. John and Sandy were so friendly and relaxed. We loved the kayaks ,canoe and paddle boards. Our kids and dog had a blast. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with a great screened in porch and picnic table and chairs to enjoy relaxing outside.There is so much to do in the area and on the property.We can't wait to go back.
A most charming property of cottages in a quiet cove.. Beautifully landscaped.. Tucked away off the beaten track.. The North Fork of Long Island had a great vibe with all the vineyards and coves to kayak and canoe... A great alternative to the crazy traffic and hustle bustle and ridiculous attitude of the South Fork.. The ocean on South Fork is still spectacular but it's a easy ride to go and come back...
What a beautiful place to stay! Very beautiful location, truly charming cottage. I needed a quiet getaway and was delightfully surprised how really nice a place this is. The owner, Sandy, is exceptionally gracious, considerate and took care of me like the best kind of family. Highly recommended.
